LAS VEGAS — For the first time in his NHL career, Matthew Schaefer is on a true, extended road trip with the Islanders — and he’s taking it all in.

I caught up with Schaefer ahead of the game to talk Vegas, road-trip life, and what he’s expecting tonight.

The Islanders battle the Golden Knights tonight at 10 PM ET. Morning skate updates and latest notes on both squads can be found under the interview.

Enjoy!
