EAST MEADOW, NY — Since the moment Patrick Roy stepped through the doors of the team’s practice facility, he’s been honest with the media and the fan base.
And that’s something we certainly appreciate and hope you do, too.
Not only will the Hockey Hall of Fame goaltender let you know exactly what he’s thinking, but he’ll use data to back up his decisions or just take you through his thought process.
From being honest about injuries, telling us what happened to Robert Bortuzzo last season or Ilya Sorokin this summer, to being respectful yet critical of certain players’ performances, like when he said he wasn’t 100 percent pleased with Sorokin’s play last season, he’s earned trust and respect.
We got a double-whammy from Roy on Monday.
