At some point, Calum Ritchie was going to get recalled by the Islanders. Now, he's here and it looks like he's here to stay.

EAST MEADOW, NY — When top forward prospect Calum Ritchie was sent to Bridgeport as part of the New York Islanders’ last round of training camp cuts, it wasn’t an if we’d see him again.

It was just a matter of when.

“I told Ritchie, I’d see him soon,” Islanders captain Anders Lee shared with The Elmonters. “I knew that. I think we all did.”
