The comparison is easy to make.

Oliver Wahlstrom and Cole Eiserman. Both known for their goal-scoring abilities as Northeast-natives who rose the ranks through the United States development system and eventually joined a major school in Boston.

Both on the younger side of their draft classes and mid-first-round picks of the New York Islanders, projected to become some of the franchise’s finest goal scorers.

It is fun to make these comparisons, especially when fans hope to learn about the team’s top prospects without dedicating hours to watching college hockey.

But for these two forwards, the parallels end there.
