When it comes to the New York Islanders’ top prospects, the most significant question mark is when they’ll be ready to step onto the big stage with the big club.
Players like No. 1 overall pick Matthew Schaefer and trade-deadline acquisition Calum Ritchie may be ready as soon as this season. Others, like Cole Eiserman (2024, No. 20) and Danny Nelson (2023, No. 49), are more likely to join the organization for the 2025-26 campaign.
But what about new fan favorite Daniil Prokhorov, whom the Islanders selected 45th overall in the 2025 NHL Draft?
