EAST MEADOW, NY — Forward Danny Nelson, the New York Islanders’ second-round pick (49th overall) in the 2023 NHL Draft, is back for his second development camp, while his older brother, defenseman Henry Nelson, is attending as an invitee.

The two spoke with The Elmonters about the opportunity to experience camp together, Danny’s decision to return to Notre Dame for his senior season rather than turning pro, and the unique situation awaiting them this fall as their younger brother, Sammy, joins them at Notre Dame, giving the Nelson family three brothers on the same college roster.
