It had been anything but smooth sailing for New York Islanders prospect Daylan Kuefler since the organization selected him in the sixth round (No. 174) of the 2022 NHL Draft, as injuries repeatedly derailed the start of his professional career.

But this past season, things finally started to trend in the right direction.
