Duclair's Devilish Performance Is Something Islanders Need A Piece Of Every Night

Outside of the injured Bo Horvat, the Islanders have yet to have someone step up consistently offensively since Kyle Palmieri went down. Can Anthony Duclair be that guy after a huge performance?

ELMONT, NY — After serving the last two games as a healthy scratch, New York Islanders forward Anthony Duclair found himself back in the lineup last night against the New Jersey Devils.

The Islanders have been a revolving door when it comes to a handful of bottom-six wingers, with Duclair, Maxim Tsyplakov, Marc Gatcomb, Kyle MacLean, and Maxim Shabanov taking turns out of the lineup as head coach Patrick Roy continued to try different combinations with Bo Horvat and Kyle Palmieri out of the lineup.

Horvat will be traveling on the seven-game road trip, which begins Thursday night in Nashville.

After Tsyplakov played the last two games, Roy thought it was time to give Duclair another shot. That hunch paid off.
