EAST MEADOW, NY — Hudson Fasching has been playing some pretty good hockey lately. He’s forechecking hard, playing physically, and getting many goal-scoring chances.
But he’s not getting goals, sitting here on March 26 with zero on the season through 31 games. He has 28 individual scoring chances, 20 of which have been higher-danger chances, per NaturalStatrick.com.
The beauty of Fasching is that he’s brutally honest and never takes for granted when he gets to suit up for an NHL game.
After missing Monday’s 4-3 shootout loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets due to illness, Fasching will slot back into the lineup alongside Casey Cizikas and Pierre Engvall tonight against the Vancouver Canucks.
