EAST MEADOW, NY — Just 48 hours after New York Islanders general manager Mathieu Darche publicly voiced his confidence in 22-year-old defenseman Isaiah George, the former 2022 fourth-round pick was on the ice for Day 1 of development camp.

George, who has 37 NHL games under his belt and more professional experience than anyone else on the ice Sunday, was one of a handful of familiar faces in attendance.
