Islanders Battle Senators In Second Of Back-To-Back: Lines & Notes
Sorokin is starting for a second straight night.
Following a crucial win against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, the New York Islanders (10-11-7) wrap up a back-to-back against the Ottawa Senators (12-12-2) in a brief trip north of the border.
Puck drop from Canadian Tire Centre is set for 5:00 p.m., and the game can be found on MSGSN.
The two teams met for the first time on Nov. 7, with New York picking up a 4-2 win. After both teams went scoreless in the first period, the Islanders got two in the second on red lights from Anders Lee and Jean-Gabriel Pageau.
Oliver Wahlstrom padded the lead in the third, but Ottawa made it close on goals by Nick Jensen and Drake Batherson. However, that was as close as the Senators could get, with Bo Horvat sealing the game on an empty netter.
