NEW YORK, NY — After a disastrous showing against the Minnesota Wild on Friday night, New York Islanders head coach Patrick Roy decided to shake things up.

For the first time in his NHL career, Matthew Schaefer was elevated to the top pair, skating alongside Ryan Pulock. Tony DeAngelo slotted in next to Adam Pelech, while Alexander Romanov was paired with Scott Mayfield.

The result? Magic.
