Islanders Face Jets In Final Game Before Trade Deadline: Lines & Notes

ELMONT, NY — With big decisions looming ahead of the NHL Trade Deadline, the New York Islanders (27-26-7) conclude a back-to-back on Tuesday against the Winnipeg Jets (42-15-4).
Puck drop at UBS Arena is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., and the game can be found on MSGSN.
The Islanders and Jets last met at Canada Life Centre on Feb. 7, with Winnipeg picking up a 4-3. The Jets took off in the second period, scoring three straight goals and holding off a strong push by the Islanders in the third.

Anders Lee enters Tuesday’s game on a three-game point streak against Winnipeg after an assist in their last meeting. The Islanders captain has three goals and two assists for five points in that span.
In addition to his recent success, Lee tops the team in career goals and points against the Jets. In 21 games, he holds a whopping 17 goals and 25 points. Bo Horvat leads active Islanders in assists against Winnipeg with 10.
Ilya Sorokin will start the second game of the back-to-back on Tuesday. He took the loss on Monday against the New York Rangers, surrendering three goals on 25 shots. In four career games against the Jets, he is 2-2-0 with a 2.03 GAA and .933 SV%, most recently allowing four goals on 27 shots in a loss on Feb. 7.
