Islanders Film Room: How Tsyplakov Fools Skinner On Palmieri's One-Time Goal
Maxim Tsyplakov's playmaking ability led to a dandy of a goal for Kyle Palmieri against the Oilers.
Have I told you that my favorite city to visit during the season is Vancouver?
The vibes in this city, with the dim lights, the cool weather, and the sushi, make this my happy place.
It was Bo Horvat’s happy place, too. I kid, I kid, but today is a big day for Horvat as he returns to the city he called home for eight-and-a-half years for just the second time since being dealt to the Islanders on Jan. 30, 2023.
He donned the “C” for Vancouver from 2019 until he was shipped out.
I’m sure we’ll talk to him later today. Don’t worry; I won’t keep what he says a secret.
Pinky promise.
It’s a late start tonight, a 10 PM ET puck drop, so get in that nap after work or buy a soda that can give you a jolt. May I recommend a Mountain Dew?
While you are drinking your morning coffee, the first of many, I presume, have a listen to my Isles chat on Canucks Central:

With a new roster spot created, the Islanders have recalled 24-year-old defenseman Travis Mitchell.

Anders Lee Steps Up For Islanders, Cotinues Strong Start To Season With Two-Goal Performance Against Edmonton
New York Islanders captain Anders Lee has more than picked up the slack with Mathew Barzal and Anthony Duclair out.
Alongside Pageau and Bo Horvat, he's tallied three goals and five assists for eight points in six games since the line was put together.
Part of Lee's recent success is that he's taking shots at a higher clip than in recent seasons.
Both of his shots on Tuesday found the back of the net, putting his season shot total at 55.
