It’s been an incredibly tough season, production-wise, for Noah Dobson.
The 25-year-old, who recorded 70 points (10 goals, 60 assists) in 79 games last season, entered Sunday night’s game against the Florida Panthers with just 27 points (six goals, 26 assists) in 54 games.
His offensive flair had gone invisible, and in a contract year, it led to a ton of speculation about his future contract.
But, in a critical game for the Islanders with their playoff hopes on life support, Dobson’s individual effort allowed them to come away victorious, scoring the eventual game-winning goal at 12:33 of the third in a 4-2 win:
