Islanders Humming As Long Homestand Begins
The Islanders play seven straight home games, starting tonight.
The New York Islanders took some massive and much-needed steps this past road trip.
But their three-game winning streak was only good enough to stay relevant in the Eastern Conference Wild-Card race.
There’s a lot more work to be done to dig themselves out of the self-made ditch.
The work won’t be easy. No opponent is an easy opponent in the NHL, especially for a team that’s as far down in the standings as the Islanders.
The good news is that the hard work will be done at home, with the next seven games all at UBS Arena.
