Islanders Lineup For Preseason Game Against Flyers
Here's how the Islanders will line up at Wells Fargo Center
PHILADELPHIA, PA — After blowing a 4-1 third-period lead to the New York Rangers before falling 6-4 on Tuesday night, the New York Islanders are back in action on Thursday against the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center.
Tonight will be Scott Mayfield's third straight preseason game but the first alongside Mike Reilly, his partner for this upcoming season.
“I think we played a little bit last year together,” Reilly said. “We are different players, but I think it could be a good mix of being able to get the puck and move it up the ice. He's known for a long stick, he's rangy, and he’s physically strong, so I think that could be good for us, and hopefully, we can keep building chemistry.”
Maxim Tsyplakov, who had a nifty assist in the Islanders’ first preseason game, a 4-2 win against the New Jersey Devils on Sunday, will be back in for his second taste of NHL action.
Here’s the full lineup:
Holmstrom-Nelson-Palmieri
Lee-Pageau-Engvall
Tsyplakov-Karlstrom-Gauthier
Foudy-Thiesing-Gatcomb
Pelech-Pulock
Reilly-Mayfield
Odelius-Hutton
Warren
Hogberg
Skarek
Tsyplakov's hands and IQ make up for him not being the fastest skater. Spot on Stefon and he ain’t slow. I agree he should be up with Palms and Nelson. No disrespect to Holmstrom but he should be on third line. Also Patty was asked about Engvall by you, spot on he looks awful. This isn’t new he has been terrible since last year’s Camp. His contract has become a glaring problem.
