Islanders Lineup vs. Canucks & Notes

The Islanders play their second game of a five-game road trip looking to extend their point streak to five games.

VANCOUVER — After somehow finding a way to earn a point against the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday in a 4-3 overtime loss, the New York Islanders (6-6-4) look to extend their point streak to five games against the Vancouver Canucks (8-3-3).

Your goalie matchup is Semyon Varlamov (2-3-1, 3.01 GAA, .887 SV%) vs. Kevin Lankinen (1-2-1, 2.46 GAA, .911 SV%).

Alexander Romanov will miss his sixth straight game. He is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. He skated in a non-contact jersey this morning, yet again, and could play at some point on this road trip.

Defenseman Travis Mitchell has been recalled from Bridgeport and will serve as the team’s seventh defenseman. The roster spot to add him was created when the team placed defenseman Mike Reilly on injured reserve.
