Islanders Lineup vs. Flames & Notes
The Islanders welcome Alexander Romanov back after a seven-game absence.
After losing late to the Seattle Kraken on Saturday afternoon, the New York Islanders battle the Calgary Flames at 9 PM ET tonight.
Alexander Romanov, who has missed the last seven games and 10 of the last 11, is back and will skate with Noah Dobson in his return per The New York Post’s Ethan Sears and Newsday’s Andrew Gross, who are on the ground in Calgary.
He’ll skate alongside Noah Dobson, who is a point shy of 200 for his career, while Isaiah George will skate with Ryan Pulock.
The goalie matchup is Semyon Varlamov (3-3-1, 2.86 GAA, .892 SV%) vs. Dustin Wolf (6-2-1, 2.53 GAA, .921 SV%).
Varlamov is 2-0-0 in his last two games, sporting a 2.00 GAA and a .929 SV%.
Wolf is coming off his first career shutout, stopping all 29 shots he faced in a 2-0 win against the Nashville Predators on Nov. 15. He has never faced the Islanders.
Flames forward Matt Coronato is from Greenlawn, Long Island, and grew up a die-hard Islanders fan. Tonight will be the first time he gets to face them in his young career.

Tsyplakov-Nelson-Palmieri
Engvall-Cizikas-Holmstrom
