Islanders Lineup vs. Oilers & Notes
The Islanders kick off their five-game road trip tonight.
After blowing a two-goal lead and falling 4-3 in overtime to the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night, the New York Islanders kick off a five-game road trip in Edmonton against the Oilers.
Ilya Sorokin (4-3-2, 2.52 GAA, .916 SV%) is the projected starter as he bids for his 100th NHL win. Against Edmonton, he is 3-3-0 with a 2.17 GAA and .936 SV%.
He’ll go up against Stuart Skinner (4-5-1, 3.25 GAA, .883 SV%), who is 1-1-0, with a 2.04 GAA and a .926 SV%).
Alexander Romanov will miss his fifth straight game, as he is day-to-day with a lower-body injury. He’s skated at practice the last two days wearing a non-contact jersey.

Matt Martin will skate in his third straight game, with Hudson Fasching sitting yet again.
Hudson Fasching, in his season debut on Tuesday, played well, earning a second chance tonight.
Isaiah George will stick with Noah Dobson for a second straight game

I was one of the many that saw Lee as a drag on the team from a salary and skill standpoint. I was wrong ! He obviously has tremendous Pride, and deserves the Captaincy.
