This sure is a strange article by a Boston Bruins beat writer. St. Louis has mismanaged moving this guy to the point they would be lucky to extract a low first round pick at this point. Of course the Blues would be ecstatic to get 13 from the Islanders straight up for Kyrou. I just don’t think he is worth it at this point. I wouldn’t give up any of our prospects either including Eiserman. Maybe you trade Pelech for a lower one then swap for Kyrou. Just don’t see this guy having much Market Value at this time. Sure I think the Bruins, Islanders, and a few others would have interest, but everyone would be looking for a Blue Light Special Clearance Sale on this guy. Darche would have to somehow make a cheap deal for it to be worth it. Kyrou has to go he can no longer linger in St. Louis and the other factor that further drops the price is his NTC he controls where he goes when he goes. Maybe he does want to come to the Island Schenn is here, pieces are here, all the ice time and power play are here, great low key place to play. It’s a salary player dump at this point. We will gladly take him off your hands but it has to be for secondary prospects of lower level future picks. St Louis created this situation, now they have to suck it up and send him where he wants for a lower return. Maybe Darche will be the beneficiary. It could be great for Islanders and Kryou, but there will be only a silver lining of cap relief for the Blues.
Top Offer for Kyrou a future 2nd and a Quinn Finley tops. If Kyrou wants to come to the Island, Blues have zero options. They need a fresh start they can’t bring him to camp. Our hope is Kryou remains healthy and reaches his potential. If that happens Darche just absolutely killed another off season.

It was an enjoyable season for the most part, the team was competitive. Schenn is a needed piece if we are going to compete immediately. He will be a valuable addition with all the young guys being integrated. Not making the playoffs gave Darche clarity on how to move forward.
