Pierre Engvall will play on second line in his return after sitting the last two games.
ELMONT, NY — After a loss to the Montreal Canadiens on the road on Tuesday, the New York Islanders (9-10-7) return to home confines against the Seattle Kraken (12-13-1).
Ilya Sorokin (6-6-4, 2.48 GAA, .916 SV%) starts against Joey Daccord (11-6-1, 2.68 GAA, .21 SV%)
Sorokin took the loss in Montreal after letting up two goals on 27 shots. Against Seattle, he is 2-2-1 with a 1.79 GAA and .939 SV%, most recently taking the loss in their last meeting with three goals against on 27 shots.
Daccord made 22 saves on 24 shots in a 3-2 win against the Islanders on Nov. 1 and is 1-1-0, with a .917 SV% and a 2.00 GAA in two career starts against the Islanders.
After being a healthy scratch for the last two games, Pierre Engvall comes back into the lineup. Matt Martin comes out.
