Romanov Rejoins Backend, Islanders Wrap Up Canadian Portion of Road Trip Against Flames
With Alexander Romanov's energy back in the lineup, the Islanders look to get back in the win column in Calgary.
Following a disappointing 3-2 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Saturday, the New York Islanders (7-7-4) begin the eastbound leg of their five-game road trip against the Calgary Flames (9-6-3). Puck drop is at 9 PM ET, and the game can be found on MSGSN.
Alexander Romanov, who has missed the last seven games and 10 of the last 11, is back and will skate with Noah Dobson in his return per The New York Post’s Ethan Sears and Newsday’s Andrew Gross, who are on the ground in Calgary.
The Islanders split their season series with the Flames last season. In their visit to the Saddledome last November, New York earned a 5-4 win in the shootout, with Oliver Wahlstrom scoring the game-winner. However, Calgary salvaged a split at UBS Arena with a 5-2 victory.
