Whenever Eiserman comes up to the Island, he will need someone to ride shotgun. Next year the following year, because honestly this kid wants to play in the NHL you can just see it. He has a little of Mark Gastineau in him. He really likes to celly and rub it in a little. I think what dropped him in the draft was he was considered a one trick pony and a little selfish. Personally it’s exactly what we need, plus the kid is going to be mentored by some great teammates. The youthful outbursts with be tempered by the vets a little. He will need to have a guy like Lee or a Dufour if he ever gets his stuff together. Opposing Teams and players won’t like the kid, because he is super cocky. It’s counter culture to hockey especially when after scoring the clincher he is beating his chest on the bench like King Kong lol ! He is not a guy you want fighting, because of the mitts. That’s not to say he isn’t physical, because he is not small and he throws checks. You just want a guy on his line that will accommodate what is bound to happen. I don’t think the islanders players will change the kid much, maybe a little. He is a Mark Gastineau on skates and what’s wrong with that both great talents. I would argue it’s exactly what the Islanders need. He has an Auston Matthews release with an explosive competition streak. Let’s face it he dropped in that draft because he is a Mark Gastineau Type. He has talent and is tough, and more importantly I think he wants to win #1. Of course if he gets a hat trick doing it all the better. Lou will want him to stay at BU one more year with Jay. Honestly, I don’t know if the kid wants to go to school lol. Most likely the right move but something tells me he wants to be in the NHL.

Cole Eiserman is eventually going to bring a new energy to the Island. This kid is going to be loved by Islanders fans. His personality and abilities are going to be box office, for an organization that has for the most part outside of the cup years been off the radar. It’s funny his skills are exactly what we are missing Scorers Touch and PP master. Don’t know if he will do another year at BU or make the jump. The kid has NHL written all over him. Anyone comparing him to Walhstrom or Bellows is an idiot. This kid has produced at a much higher level than either of those guys. Eiserman has bite to his game and a maniacal drive to succeed. He also can create his own shot and has Auston Matthews type of talent. Danny Nelson is very close to being NHL ready if not now. Lou and Patty have to factor these guys into their plans. These are two blue chippers so Islanders should act accordingly and look to the future.
