EAST MEADOW, NY — Kyle MacLean’s goal with 2:51 to play in the third on Satuday night should have served as the game-winner for the New York Islanders against the Calgary Flames.

However, they could not hold onto the lead, allowing the tying goal less than 30 seconds before falling in overtime.

Regardless, it was a big game for the Islanders’ trio of Tsyplakov-MacLean-Gatcomb, who had four points (two goals, two assists) on the night.
