Last Night was the classic example of the Power and Importance of a Power Forward. Mikko Tuchuck McKinnon Tom Wilson Stone. All these guys bring their little twists to the game. However they all have the size and toughness to cut through tight checking playoff hockey. Obviously we need one of those guys, they usually need to be drafted. The Caps did a great job drafting Leonard, he is young but he stakes well but heavy like the classic power forward. Hopefully we can draft Size and Speed going forward. I think skating must be prioritized for Islanders draft picks. Lee played well this year, there is a space on this team for him. He is the closest thing to a Power Forward we have. This is his last year, so with all our needs we need some physical fast forwards.

The key to this team bouncing back quickly is Marner. Forget anyone else like Elhers etc. They need another point producing established well rounded RW period. Mitch on a seven year deal is not an issue so yeah over pay him. Give him the 12.5 13 is he worth it No but you have to lure him to the Island. Will it turn out well for the Islanders absolutely!!! I don’t care what anyone says Eiserman is coming out and will be in Camp. He is NYC he is a Joe Namath type of personality! The kids going to make the Logo cool again! He would score in any league better than Caufield. Put him on a line with Barzel and Palms or Horvat and Marner. Holmstrom would round out the top six. Eiserman is electric the impact of the Islanders drafting him cannot be underestimated. Lou will be remembered fondly for the last trade he made and the draft picks. Can the New Management break the stigma of not drawing the prize FA this year???? Martin and family’s relationship with Mitch is a huge advantage. Matt will have a role on the team most likely in PR.

I got no problem with Bergevin Roy pairing. Bergevin being a President/GM Drafting Salary etc. However he must let Patrick cook. I think he maybe the guy simply because he is going to work along with Patrick in a collaborative way.

Maybe Bergevin is President of Hockey Operations and Patrick is de facto GM coach. Bergevin can handle the business stuff and help Patrick. To me we have the best guy for the job in house already! We just need a guy to complement him. Let’s face it Bergevin and Patrick need to sell Marner on LI, then this thing all starts to turn around. If we get lucky in the draft, they sign Marner, Eiserman and Ritchie learn on the job things get very interesting. They will both compete and retool in real time. The Islanders deserve some luck 1000%! Toronto will roll over and play dead for Florida essentially ending Marner’s career there. He was treated like shit, and who can blame him. He can most likely go wherever he wants. Can Bergevin and Patty sell him on the Island?

1. Familiarity with the Island

2. Martin’s friendship

3. Locker Room Harmony

4 Not a Glaring Media ( Don’t underestimate this after so many years in Toronto)

5 Nice place to raise a family

North Shore Good Schools

6 Not far from a major cultural and Medical care second to none

7 Chance to add your talents to exactly what the team needs.

8 Goaltending

9 Some exciting young prospects

10 A team that just needs another point producing RW

There’s a chance he comes 100%

Ultimately it’s Malkin Collins Ledecky along with Bergevin and Patrick that have to sell Mitch.

Mitch brings a mature 200 Ft game and an ability to play PP PK 5X5 He would immediately make this team a playoff team.
