‘Stacking Days’: Marshall Warren Shares Mindset After Latest Islanders Recall
Marshall Warren opens up on his latest Islanders recall, the mental grind of the call-up cycle, daily accountability in Bridgeport, and what it means to keep “stacking days” while staying NHL-ready.
EAST MEADOW, NY — On Thursday morning, the New York Islanders recalled 24-year-old defenseman Marshall Warren from Bridgeport.
Warren, a native of Laurel Hollow, Long Island, is up with the Islanders for the third time this season. He played two games earlier in the season, recording two assists in his NHL debut against the Philadelphia Flyers on Oct. 25 before being sent back to Bridgeport a few days later.
Then, Warren was recalled on Nov. 19, but was optioned back to Bridgeport without playing a game.
Now, he’s back, where he’s focused on “stacking days.” What he means by that and more!
