Exclusive: Matthew Schaefer Relives His First NHL Goal

ELMONT, NY — On Saturday night, New York Islanders No. 1 overall pick Matthew Schaefer sent UBS Arena into a frenzy after scoring his first career NHL goal.
About 12 or so hours later, Schaefer was back on the ice where the magic happened, as the Islanders held a team practice there ahead of their Monday matinee against the reigning President Trophy-winning Winnipeg Jets.
