When Jon Ledecky was named co-owner of the New York Islanders ahead of the 2014-15 season, he had a vision. He wanted anyone associated with the Long Island logo to be proud of it and to understand that whether you were a player, a coach, or a fan, the logo represented a family — a bond that connected the community.

Ten years later, Ledecky‘s caring, smiling team-first exuberance seems to have finally become infectious on Long Island, as GM Mathieu Darche, along with first overall pick Matthew Schaefer, both adorned massive smiles at Citi Field yesterday while displaying incredible care for Islander fans throughout the day.
