Islanders Treading Water Without Scoring Punch
It takes two to tango, but with the Islanders still sitting in second place, the sooner they can add some offensive support, the likelier they are to remain there.
CALGARY, AB — If you look at this current road trip, where the New York Islanders are 2-2-1, you would think they’ve played fine — good enough — especially without their leading goal scorer, Bo Horvat.
However, outside of their 4-2 loss to the Calgary Flames on Saturday, in which they truly dominated the game but missed the net 29 times, it’s safe to say they have not been the better team.
