Game In St. Louis Is A Crossroads Game For Islanders

There’s no such thing as a must-win game this early in an NHL season, but the outcome for the New York Islanders against the St. Louis Blues tonight is a big one.

A loss, whether in regulation (1-2-1) or overtime (1-1-2), has the Islanders with just one win on their road trip, and one wins through their first four games — anything but ideal.

But a win in Mount City, and the Islanders can call their road trip a success, going 2-1-0 to head home feeling a bit better about themselves, with a 2-1-1 record.
