NEW YORK, NY — After winning 4-3 against the Buffalo Sabres, the New York Islanders (4-5-2) host the cross-town rival New York Rangers (7-2-1).
We get an Ilya Sorokin vs. Igor Shesterkin matchup.
Sorokin has been hit or miss against the Rangers, boasting a 3-3-2 record with a 3.10 GAA and .909 SV%.
Shesterkin does tend to struggle when facing the Islanders, owning a 5-8-1 record with a 3.10 GAA and .890 SV%.
UPDATES:
Alexander Romanov will miss the game, his fourth of five with an upper-body injury (day-to-day).
Samuel Bolduc and Grant Hutton will play on Saturday after being recalled from Bridgeport.
Mathew Barzal (LTIR) and Adam Pelech (IR) are both out with upper-body injuries, a 4-6 week timeline.
