In honor of Wednesday being the halfway point of the work week.

With the overtime loss to the Montreal Canadiens, the New York Islanders wake up dead last in the Metropolitan Division.

That’s the bad news.

The good news is with the point, they find themselves just two points out of a wild-card spot.

What a crazy ride it’s been.

That ride continues on Thursday night at UBS Arena when they host the Seattle Kraken.

Only this time, it was the Canadiens coming away victorious after Nick Suzuki buried a loose puck at the crease at 2:39 of the extra frame.
