The New York Islanders had five prospects take part in the 2026 World Junior Championships. Victor Eklund and Team Sweden captured gold, defeating fellow Islanders prospect Tomas Poletin and Team Czechia in the final.

Cole Eiserman, Kamil Bednarik, and Team USA were eliminated in the quarterfinals, losing 6-3 to Team Finland, while Kashawn Aitcheson and Team Canada fell 6-4 to the Czechs in the semifinals.
