By season’s end, the New York Islanders had provided updates on most of their injured players.

Forward Kyle Palmieri, who tore his ACL on Nov. 28, had been skating on his own and is expected to be ready for training camp.

Defenseman Alexander Romanov got pretty close to returning from right shoulder surgery.

Defenseman Ryan Pulock could need a procedure done on his shoulder, but was expected to be ready fo training camp regardless of what he potentially needed done.

Veteran goaltender Semyon Varlamov, who has been working his way back since undergoing two knee procedures and last played in the NHL on Nov. 29, 2024, is an option for next season and looked good in his two rehab starts with the Bridgeport Islanders.

But one player who never really received a clear update throughout the season was forward Pierre Engvall.
