BRIDGEPORT, CT — New York Islanders’ 2024 first-round pick (No. 20) Cole Eiserman could have returned to Boston University for his junior season.

Instead, he elected to turn pro following his sophomore campaign, joining the Bridgeport Islanders on an ATO with his three-year entry-level deal not kicking in until the 2026-27 season.

In 12 regular-season games with Bridgeport, Eiserman was impactful, scoring two goals and adding seven assists for nine points to help the AHL Islanders clinch a spot in the 2026 Calder Cup Playoffs.

They host the Hershey Bears in the opening round, with Game 1 on Tuesday night at 7 PM ET.

On Monday, following Bridgeport’s final skate before the playoffs begin, I caught up with Eiserman to find out what made him decide to turn pro, what it's been like to join Bridgeport during their playoff push, and much more.
