For the first time since 2018, the New York Islanders will need to name a new captain.

Anders Lee, who proudly wore the “C” from 2018-26, was unable to come to terms on a contract extension with the Islanders before signing a three-year deal worth $5.3 million annually with the Utah Mammoth on Wednesday night.
