Islanders Lineup vs. Devils & Notes
The Islanders are going with Ilya Sorokin in the first leg of their back-to-back.
NEWARK, NJ — The New York Islanders are in New Jersey to face the Devils on Friday night.
This is the first leg of a back-to-back for the Islanders this season, the first of 11.
Ilya Sorokin will start tonight against the Devils, which means Semyon Varlamov will start against the Florida Panthers on Saturday night.
Jake Allen (2-1-0, 3.01, .880 SV%) gets the nod for New Jersey.
Sorokin owns a 6-5-1 record lifetime against the Devils, with a 2.76 GAA and a .912 SV%.
On the season, Sorokin is 1-1-1, with a 1.34 GAA and a .947 SV%.
Liam Foudy, who was recalled from Bridgeport of the American Hockey League, played in his first game with the Islanders on Tuesday. He’ll skate on the fourth line alongside Casey Cizikas and Kyle MacLean tonight.

Oliver Wahlstrom will skate on the third line alongside Anders Lee and Jean-Gabriel Pageau.
