Energized Islanders’ Newcomers & Teammates Talk Trade
Palat & Soucy are ready to give it their all and help the Islanders with their push to the playoffs.
ELMONT, NY — New York Islanders general manager Mathieu Darche made two low-cost moves to add a 200-foot forward in Ondrej Palat, and a bottom-pairing, physical blueliner in Carson Soucy.
Both are ready to help this team push for the postseason. Both will be in the lineup, against the New York Rangers, with Palat playing alongside Bo Horvat and Emil Heineman, and Soucy paired with Adam Boqvist
Palat wasn't having his best season in New Jersey and knows he’s capable of more.
